Requirements:
Examine specifications to find out job, material, and equipment requirements.
Set up metal working machines and equipment.
Operate machines to produce parts or tools by turning, boring and polishing.
Grinding metal stock components.
Fit and assemble parts or sub-assemblies.
Cut threads.
Dismantle faulty tools and assembly, repair or replace defective parts.
Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools.
Communicate on work in progress and conditions of machinery/equipment to the relevant stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to
engineering quality standards and maintenance of equipment and machinery.
Maintain housekeeping, safety, and food safety requirements.
Required Skills and KnowledgeAt least 1 year experience in a steel manufacturing environment and worked on the grinding machines
Know the difference of steel/material
Know the difference Stainless steel grades
Must understand brushing and grain of sheet metal
Knowledge of mild steel (hot rolled/cold rolled)
Galvanizing experience
Fluent to speak, read and write English
Required to work long hours during busy periods.
