JOB SUMMARY:
Established manufacturing client within the steel industry has a vacancy for a Junior Entry level Electrician - General worker position for a 3 month fixed term contract.
The employee will be responsible to safely carry out preventive maintenance and repairs on metal and steel elements.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities
Inspect on a routine basis electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures and other electrical components to ensure they remain functional and are up to code, as well as to identify any hazards or issues.
Do fault finding on malfunctioning systems or components, assist in the creation of a maintenance
Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, equipment, and other components.
Advise when certain components should be replaced due to potential risks.
Keep records of all maintenance and repair work conducted.
Ensure all routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule.
Assemble units and connect LED’s to power supply.
Test electric wiring before despatch.
Ensuring minimal downtime/breakdowns.

Requirements
2 Years’ experience in the field
Ability to solve problems and work quick turnaround times
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Ability to work long hours.
