General manager: Group and Transversal Audits

SUMMARY:
GM: Group and Transversal Audits position available

POSITION INFO:

Position Purpose:

Leading and managing the development, execution and monitoring of the organisation’s Support Functions (e.g. Finance, HR, Procurement, etc.) and Transversal Internal Audit Plans, Performance Audit Plans, and Advisory Plan and related audit services to facilitate effective execution of the Internal Audit mandate.

Position Inputs:

Qualifications, Experience and Inherent Job Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Auditing / Finance / Accounting (NQF Level 7);
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in a large enterprise with a complex operations environment or complex business processes, of which at least 10 years’ experience at a Senior managerial level;
• Certified Information Systems Audit (CISA), Chartered Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA);

Knowledge:

Technical Knowledge:

• Extensive knowledge and experience in Auditing;

Business Acumen:

• Knowledge and understanding of the principles of the business, the application thereof, the opportunities within the business and the seizure thereof;
• Knowledge of the business environment, the relevant role players within the business and their key responsibilities and outcomes;

Compliance / Risk Management:

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of risk management and compliance;

Commercial Orientation:

• Sound knowledge and understanding of financial and commercial concepts;

Legislation:

• Knowledge and understanding of the key legislation regulation, norms and standards applicable to the organisation to ensure compliance and support the government mandate;
