Generic Product Manager

SUMMARY:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager at a Commercial Bank in Sandton.

POSITION INFO:

Primary Porpose: 

Develops products by identifying customer value propositions, conducting market research, generating product requirements, determining specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction; developing marketing strategies for the Bank in line with strategic objectives.Works closely with operational support, IT partners and all stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure the relevant product portfolio is appropriately developed and supported with all  operational processes in place across the entire product value chain. Makes improvements to products where necessary to align with market changes and/or compliance requirements. Manages the overall health of each product within the product portfolio. Within Card and Banking Products Division, there are a number of current products, and consideration being given to new products (e.g. credit card / fleet / lodge issuing).

Minumum Requirements: 

• Business-related Degree in Business Economics and Finance, or equivalent Banking Degree 
• Over 3 years product development and/or management experience, financial services and project management experience.

• Analytical, confident and competent self-starter with excellent organizational and leadership skills Deadline and target driven with a high attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to influence and negotiate
• Work well under pressure and manage stress effectively
• Good commercial and business acumen with the ability to forecast problems and identify possible preventative measures
• Strong relationship building and customer service skills
• Computer Literate (Microsoft Office Suite)
• Energy and Drive
• Resilience
