POSITION INFO:
We are looking for a Graduate Electrical Engineer to support the design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of electrical protection systems. The role involves assisting with protection scheme development, relay settings, fault analysis, and compliance with industry standards. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will contribute to technical documentation, system studies, on-site commissioning, and troubleshooting while learning from senior engineers. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with 0–2 years’ relevant experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt and grow in a technical environment. Exposure to protection and telecontrol devices, as well as ECSA candidate registration, will be advantageous.
What you'll do:
- Function related experience: 0-2 years experience.
- Hands-on experience during academic projects, co-op programs, or graduate internships is desirable.
- Computer literacy
- Ability to adapt and learn reasonably fast.
- Basic knowledge of communication protocols would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of engineering principles.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Strong technical document writing skills.
- Ability to analyse complex problems, interpret operational needs and develop integrated solutions.
Your Expertise:
- Function related experience: 0-2 years experience.

Qualifications:
- Matric Certificate
- BSc/B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering Degree
- Registration with ECSA as a candidate engineer is advantageous.
