Grain Procurement Manager

SUMMARY:
An established agricultural company is seeking an experienced and suitably qualified candidate to increase the market share of the group by managing the procurement of grain and maintaining service delivery to current and prospective clients.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a B-degree in marketing with a background in agriculture
• 5 years’ experience in grain procurement is essential
• Must be a registered SAFEX Trader with SAIFM
• Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Excel with excellent numerical skills are required
• Must have excellent written and communication skills in English and Afrikaans
• Must have a valid drivers’ licence

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing procurement activities for the Free State region, Eastern Cape and Northern Cape regions.
• Attending to producers in the designated area.
• Managing Safex clients and options.
• Managing administration and ensuring targets are reached.
• Sourcing and developing new opportunities.
• Managing staff and solving general problems.

Salary is highly negotiable, based on experience.
