Grants Manager

POSITION INFO:

Grants Manager who will oversee and coordinate the grant management process, ensuring compliance with established financial policies and sound business practices and provide direct support to project managers.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Oversee grants management by liaising with Project Manager, Funders and other relevant stakeholders.
• Negotiate amendments and incremental funding arrangements with donors.
• Ensure all donor reports are submitted as required.
• Provide guidance and assistance to project managers in the interpretation of funding agency regulations and requirements
• Work in conjunction with the Compliance Department to ensure that all internal reviews address critical areas
• Assist the project managers in developing annual budgets, work plans and proposals
• Assist in new grant proposals and submissions, providing financial and technical information where appropriate.

Essential qualifications and experience

• BCom / BCompt Degree / Financial Management or relevant Tertiary qualification
• 5 -10 years’ experience in a management role preferably in Grants & Contracts
• Knowledge of donor grants and the Non-Profit sector, desirable
• Sound knowledge of financial accounting policies and procedures
• Ability to operate in a dynamic environment.
• Project Management experience
• ERP systems experience
• Experience in managing staff.
