As the Group Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and group-level financial oversight. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Duties and Responsibilities

Taxation & Compliance

Compilation and submission of tax computations (IT14s) for 15 group companies.
Oversight of all taxation matters including VAT submissions for subsidiaries.
Keeping up to date with current tax legislation and ensuring group compliance.
Annual South African Reserve Bank (SARB) reporting and ongoing management of SARB authorities.

Financial Reporting

Compilation of draft Annual Financial Statements (AFS) for 15 companies using Caseware.
Preparation for annual audits, including the compilation and management of audit packs.
Responsibility for intercompany cost allocations and reconciliations.

Employee Trust Management

Provide general accounting and financial support on an ad-hoc basis as required by the finance team or senior management.

Experience and Skills Required

Bcom Accounting Degree Minimum
Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience
