A listed entity specializing in innovative and cutting-edge solutions to clients in the mining, and energy sectors is looking for a dynamic finance professional to join their team as a Group Accountant.
JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting across a range of finance activities, ensuring adherence to the group’s deadlines, processes and standards. The successful candidate will also be responsible for head office trial balance reviews, monthly general ledger reconciliations reviews as well as identifying, developing and implementing new accounting policies.
EDUCATION
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- At least 1-2 years’ post article experience
- Experience in the mining/engineering/construction industry is preferred
- Experience with consolidations is preferred
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Willing to travel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a high pressured, fast paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Deadline oriented
- Willing to work overtime during year end
