JOB SUMMARY:
Group Head Office role in listed and global IT / Information Management concern. Previous experience in a Group Accounting role and consolidations is essential. Min. BCom (Hons) and CIMA or CA(SA) qualification. The role is to provide support to the Group Finance Manager across a range of finance activities. Min. 5 years experience in a similar role.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities would include but not limited to:
Finance and reporting (monthly and annual responsibilities)

Head office annual budgets
Banking administration
Review of VAT returns
Responsible for fixed asset accounting and tax report
Review of preparation of annual tax schedules
Ensure head office intercompany loans balance to subsidiaries
Review Group Intercompany loan balances
Consolidation preparations (consol journals)
Head office bi-weekly cash flow review
Head office trial balance review – this includes correct allocation of income and expenses
Monthly GL recon review
Payment authorisation and release
Opex authorisation
Ensure submission of flash
Ensure submission and review of Group management accounts and monthly reporting including all offshore operations
Ensure forecast is reviewed and updated
Ensures businesses are timeous with reporting deadlines
Liaise with internal and external auditors
Preparation of subsidiary AFS
Preparing Group BBEEE reports
Adhoc support to Group FM

Tax

Deal with SARS ad SARS related queries
Preparation of tax computations for 1st , 2nd provisional and annual
Completion and submission of annual, provisional and IT14SD returns

IFRS

Identify, develop and implement new accounting policies across the group to ensure IFRS compliance as well as good corporate governance

Qualifications:
Min. BCom (Hons) and either a CIMA or CA(SA) qualification
Sage X3 advantageous
Min. 5 years experience in a similar role.
