JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in Lynwood area is currently looking for a group bookkeeper / accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements:
  • Matric
  • Post Graduate qualification would be advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience (Intimate knowledge of group of companies would be advantageous)
  • Bilingual
  • Own Transport
  • Experience in managing junior staff
  • Full bookkeeping function i.e., data processing to final Trial Balance
  • Experience with the following programs:
    • QuickBooks Online
    • SARS E-filing and
    • Microsoft Office (Intermediate Excel)
    • SOS Inventory (would be advantageous) or similar ERP software
    • SAGE Online Payroll
    • Draft Worx (would be advantageous)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Group CFO
  • Management and administration of group bookkeeping department
  • Create and maintain current SOP’s (Systems of Procedure)
  • Bank, Debtors, Creditors and other reconciliations
  • Processing data to final Trial Balance
  • Processing of monthly journals
  • Assisting with group consolidations
  • Create and evaluate annual budgets on a monthly basis
  • VAT, PAYE, UIF, Provisional Tax and other SARS Calculations
  • Bi-Annual IRP 5 Reconciliations on SARS
  • Compilation of monthly work programs for junior staff
  • Monitoring of Inventory and Fixed Asset Registers
  • Management and review of employee time costs
  • Load payments on internet banking for release by management
  • General administration
  • Other related reasonable tasks that will arise from time to time
