Group Environmental Specialist

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Mining Industry, has an EE opportunity available for a Group Environmental Specialist in the Rustenburg area.

POSITION INFO:
Education and Experience Requirements:

• Post Graduate Degree in Environmental Sciences or equivalent field
• Tertiary Qualification in: Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering or equivalent and NQF level 6 Certificate in Environmental Law or equivalent; NQF level 6 Certificate in Environmental Management System will be an added advantage; NQF level 6 Qualification in Environmental Management Auditing will be an added advantage
• Environmental Assessment Practitioner Registration or Proven Experience
• At least 5 years'' experience in environmental consulting, mining/smelter environment
• A good understanding of systems and system integration
• High level computer literacy
• Willingness to travel
• Strong Project Management skills

• Provide Environmental Specialist support for the strategic implementation, monitoring and verification of: Air quality management; Water management; Waste management; Closure and rehabilitation management; Biodiversity management; Environmental legal compliance management
• Sustainable development reporting and data management (GRI reporting)
• General intra-group environmental assistance and consulting
