Company and Job Description:
A well-established and reputable hospitality group based in Rosebank is seeking a Group Accountant / Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.

This opportunity is ideal for a candidate with a BCom and completed articles, coupled with 1–3 years’ commercial experience, who thrives in a high-transaction environment. Exposure to retail or hospitality will be highly advantageous.

You will gain exposure to group reporting structures, high-volume reconciliations, and a fast-moving operational environment where accuracy and efficiency are critical.

Key Responsibilities:

Full financial accounting function within a group structure
Preparation and review of monthly management accounts
High-volume reconciliations and transaction management
Assist with annual financial statements and audit processes
VAT submissions and statutory compliance
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Intercompany transactions and consolidations support

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education:

BCom Accounting (completed)
Completed Articles (SAICA / SAIPA)

Experience:

1–3 years post-articles commercial experience
Exposure to retail or hospitality (advantageous)
Experience in high-volume transactional environments

Skills:

Strong Excel proficiency
ERP system experience
High attention to detail
Ability to perform under pressure
Strong reconciliation and reporting capability
