Group Legal and Compliance Manager (Telco Sector)

SUMMARY:
Exciting opportunity for an admitted attorney to join international telecommunications market leader.

An in-depth knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation in ICT sector (local and international) plus 5 - 8 years' post admission experience in corporate IT/telecommunications required.  
 
JOB PURPOSE
Overall responsibility for all legal engagements with Customers, Suppliers and other Company stakeholders. Conduct and lead contract negotiations ensuring best legal and commercial outcome for the Company. Responsible for all Group legal compliance (ICASA, BBBEE, POPI, Company Law etc). Understand and manage company's regulatory compliance with Telco law outside of South Africa.

POSITION INFO:
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Negotiate and manage all Commercial Contracts 30%
• Regulatory Compliance in jurisdictions where the Company has an entity 20%
• Telco compliance in Countries where the Company offers services 30%
• Manage BBBEE Strategy 10%
• Management reporting 10%

• In depth knowledge and understanding of;
• - commercial law
• - law of delict
• - contractual law
• - employment legislation (BCEA, LRA)
• - ICASA
• - POPI
• - BBBEE in the ICT Sector
