JOB SUMMARY:
Our Client, a leader in the private hospital industry, requires a Group Payroll Administrator to be based at their head office,

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:
  • Grade 12
  • Degree / Diploma in Finance or Human Resources Management
  • A minimum of 5 years Payroll experience is a prerequisite
  • Prior supervisory experience would be advantageous
  • Knowledge and experience of the VIP People System as well as the Kronos System
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent leadership qualities
  • Accuracy, excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must possess strong organisational skills
  • Strong ability to pay attention to detail and perform tasks accurately
  • Ability to cope in a pressurised environment and meet deadlines

    Key Outputs:

  • Oversee the payroll processing activities for the Payroll Department by delegating responsibility to the team and managing the workflow
  • Ensure that the weekly and monthly payroll is completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Collaborate and work closely with the Human Resources Department and Finance Department and manage the relationship with third party vendors
  • Supervise and coach payroll team and provide guidance and support when needed
  • Ensure that payroll procedures are compliant
  • Ensure that the correct tax tables and workflows are implemented on the Payroll System
  • Manage the payroll deadline calendar and communicate the submission dates to the relevant parties
  • Check the accuracy, completeness, and correctness of Payroll documents for your assigned companies
  • Responsible for the processing of weekly and monthly salaries for your assigned companies
  • Changing employee bank records when necessary to process payments accurately
  • Completion of monthly reconciliations of medical aid, pension fund, trade union payments,
  • Ensure accurate processing of bonus and leave payments
  • Ensure the timeous submission of payroll files per entity to the Finance Department
  • Completion and submission of Quarterly Employment Statistics
  • Analyse payroll problems and provide appropriate solutions
  • Assist external auditors with information if needed
  • Attend to staff queries and general questions
