JOB SUMMARY:
You will be responsible for providing direction and structure to the group procurement function.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

You will be responsible for providing direction and structure to the group procurement function. You will manage the procurement strategy, planning and supplier management by establishing and institutionalizing best practices, whilst overseeing day-to-day procurement activities to deliver a sustainable competitive advantage aligning the procurement function to the Group’s BBBEE and other social initiatives.

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills

BCom Degree in finance/supply chain management/logistics or business administration
Previous Healthcare experience will highly advantageous
5-10 years of relevant extensive experience in sourcing and stakeholder engagement
Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques– Corporate tenders, facility management, supply of products and services
Advanced Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)

Key Result Areas:

Establish and manage the Group procurement process and budget across the Group, including South Africa and our African operations.
Drive procurement efficiencies to ensure the Group obtains optimal benefits as it relates to quality, pricing, etc.
Determine and maintain optimal stock holding to ensure continuity of supply
Continuously identify cost reduction opportunities for direct, indirect, and Capex transactions and assesses their effectiveness
Maintain standardised commercial practices within the procurement function
Maintain category/regional strategic sourcing relationships with suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply to support operations and corporate objectives
Monitor and evaluate contractual arrangements to ensure vendors comply with the agreed terms and conditions
Drive initiatives to foster the development of new suppliers
Identify new opportunities to utilise technology and analytics to streamline, automate and improve processes, compliance, and cost savings
Familiarisation with various Procurement Software platforms
