Group Tax Manager

The Group Tax Manager is responsible for the Group’s tax compliance and oversight, together with an element of preparation of complex tax computations. In addition, this role is responsible for the financial management of a small portfolio of companies within the Group. This involves the full financial function for these companies.

Minimum Requirements:

• BCom degree and H.Dip.Tax or similar post-graduate tax qualification;
• Registered SARS Tax Practitioner.
• Relevant tax experience is essential.
• Previous experience in the property industry will be advantageous.
• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.

Performance Areas (Responsibilities):

• Group Taxation: Manages and reports on the taxation function for portfolio of companies. This involves Statutory tax, provisional tax as well as VAT.
• Operational Financial Processing: Administers financial processes and tasks for a portfolio of properties and companies.
• General Ledger: Reconciles General Ledgers and allocates costs accordingly.
• Budget and Forecasting Provides input into the budget and monitors expenditure.
• Cash Flow Management and Payments: Manages the daily cash position and ensures timeous availability of funds. Ensures the timeous payments to suppliers based on valid TAX invoices.
• Reporting (Financial): Prepares financial reporting.
• External Auditing: Assists auditors during the external audit process.
• Risk Management: Identifies and manages business risk.
• Self-development: Participates in training and development initiatives online with personal development plans.
