SUMMARY:
Division of Global Company requires your qualifications and skills within a meat and poultry processing context. They are looking for an Individual who will run the following; HACCP, NPD, and Technical Support

POSITION INFO:

Job Specification

To develop consumer food products using the ingredients manufactured by the company

The main range of ingredients produced by the company are used in the meat processing industry

New Product development

Maintaining the HACCP program and co-ordinating HACCP audits

Quality control of the company’s mixing facility

Performing trials at customers (including reporting and presentations to customers)

Supporting the sales department with new business development throughout South Africa

Monitoring the ongoing performance of the company’s products with existing customers

Recording and keeping accurate records of tests, trials

Technical support

Preparing costing’s

Minimum Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Food Technology essential

New Product development

Proven experience within a Food Technology-related role encompassing all, or some, of the above-named experience

Strong Product development knowledge and experience in the meat industry

Hands-on experience within the meat or poultry industry hugely advantageous

Previous experience in formulating recipes/rectifying recipes

Strong HACCP exposure and understanding of related processes

Well-developed interpersonal ability

Self-motivated

Presentable

Strong communication skills in both English and Afrikaans 

High energy levels

Ability to work independently or in a team

Strong administrative skills Good planning and organisational skills
