A prestigious 5-star luxury hotel in the Cape Town is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join their hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in housekeeping within luxury environments and a passion for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities but not limited to:
• Supervise daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all guest rooms and public areas meet 5-star standards.
• Lead, train, and motivate housekeeping staff, maintaining high levels of productivity and morale.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, back-of-house, and public spaces.
• Assist in managing laundry operations and linen inventory.
• Monitor and manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and amenities.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless guest service.
• Handle guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and hygiene standards.
• Maintain detailed records and reports related to room status, maintenance needs, and team performance.
Requirements:
• 3+ years’ experience in a housekeeping role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory position.
• Previous experience in a 5-star hotel, lodge, or luxury estate environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
• Able to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in housekeeping systems and general administrative duties.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
