SUMMARY:
An established manufacturing company is in search of an HR Executive to provide leadership and management to HR teams with overall responsibility of HR management. The successful candidate will develop and lead the delivery of HR strategy across sites.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description 

  • Overseeing all HR functions and staff
  • Developing, monitoring and implementing a company’s people management strategy
  • Managing an HR department’s annual budget
  • Reporting on the performance and progress of an HR department to leadership
  • Directing change management and organisational development       
  • HR Strategy and formulation: Compile and implement HR Initiatives which support the overall company and HR Strategy. Provide strategic insight into all projects and initiatives that will have an impact on the people
  • Employee Relations Management: Ensure Group disciplinary procedure and code is applied consistently across the sites. Identify any IR Risks and trends and develop a strategy to address this. Ensure effective management and resolution of internal and external disputes. Manage multiple unions
  • HR Governance: Develop, communicate and implement relevant HR Policies and Procedures and ensure compliance with legal regulations
  • Talent Management: Manage recruitment and selection. Implement career and success planning to ensure availability of critical skills. Develop and implement relevant employee retention strategies to motivate and coaching
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure full compliance to current and future employment legislation. Ensure submission of all required legal reports to mitigate all legal risks.
  • Organisational Effectiveness: Roll out climate surveys from time to time. Roll out engagement surveys. Ensure effective interventions are rolled out to address survey findings. Performance Management system
  • Organisational Change, Culture and Values: Build a strong brand to attract talent in the organisation. Provide change management support to line managers. Support and spearhead all organisation culture shaping initiatives
  • HR Systems and Reporting: Ensure HR supports are updated to support business. Implement HR reporting mechanisms and systems
  • Relationship Management: Manage on going relationships with Trade Unions and other employee representative bodies. Liaise with SETA and other relevant bodies
  • Management of Compensation and Benefits: Review company reward strategy and adjust remuneration elements according to business strategy. Communication Management. Management of notice boards, Intranet, social media platforms
  • Payroll Management and data accuracy: Manage on time payroll input for weekly and monthly payrolls
  • Training and Development Management: Formulate skills plan, gap analysis, and programmes to maximise BBBEE input and merSETA MOA’s
  • Wellness Strategy: Implement Wellness Strategy. Manage on site facilities and its integrity

Minimum Qualification and Experience

  • HR NQF Level 8 tertiary qualification i.e. Honours
  • 10 years in a HR management capacity. 3 years General Manager experience or experience at Executive Role preferably in the Automotive or Manufacturing Industry
  • Budget management

  • Developed strategic ability and in depth commercial understanding
