HR Manager

SUMMARY:
To manage and lead the Human Resources function in order to ensure effective implementation of strategic HR policies, programs, practices and HR best practices.

POSITION INFO:

Degree/Diploma in HR or related field (NQF 6/7) is essential.
Honours degree in relevant HR related fields is advantageous.
Minimum of 6 years in HR field is essential.
3-5 years shaft operation experience would be an advantage.

Develop and monitor various business plans for operational units.
Manage and provide effective HR support/services to line management to support BP achievements.
Effectively support the overall business plan operations by providing HR inputs as part of operational management team.
Ensure people availability by implementing effective labour planning and management processes.
Implement and audit HR best practices.
Maintain and improve operational employee relations.
Ensure that employee and sub-ordinates are developed according to the operational needs of the business unit.
To ensure that the transformation targets set by the BP are met in order to comply with relevant legislation.
Manage, implement and maintain the talent function within the operation.
Computer literacy (MS Office package) is essential.

Mining industry processes and methods.
Financial processes and procedures.
Company procedures and processes.
Strategic planning processes.
Recruitment placement and optimisation of human capital.
Employee relations.
Talent management functions (Performance management, succession planning and employment equity)
Time and attendance.
Analytical & problem solving skills are essential.
People/ER management skills are essential.
Presentation and report writing skills are essential.
Must be able to consult on HR matters on all levels.
