We are looking for an experienced HR Manager in the Mooinooi area in the Northwest, the successful candidate will exceptional inter-personal skills and should be able to bring management and employees together to achieve one goal.

Summary:

• The person to be appointed in this role should have exceptional inter-personal skills and should be able to bring management and employees together to achieve one goal.
• Collaboration with stakeholders and different departments are also important.
• Experience working with communities in the surrounding area should also be something to look at as they play a huge role in the operations and they can easily shut down the plant.
• Good relationship building is also important.
• Inspiring and guiding the department in terms of working towards the strategy of the company is also very important.
• Creating a positive working atmosphere and supporting the GM is very important.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Human Resources or Industrial Psychology Degree
• Experience: 8+ years' HR Management experience (Essential)
• Mining experience especially within the Smelting experience (Essential) 
• Experience managing community relationships 
• Knowledge: Computer Literacy (MS Office & SAP)
• Ability to keep the moral of the people positive 

Responsibilities: 

• Develop, revise and implement policies, procedures and documentation in accordance with protocols
• Manage implementation of all protocols consistently throughout the site
• Provide strategic direction in terms of Organisational Development:
  • Goal Alignment process
  • Performance Management process
  • Job Management process
  • Ad hoc interventions as diagnosed
• Settle annual wage negotiations within mandate
• Ensure that a positive ER climate is prevalent
• Manage absenteeism effectively
• Ensure legal compliance
• Manage the EE process at Site level to ensure compliance to EE Strategy
• Develop site specific Communication Strategy and implement appropriate methods, channels and tools
• Implement one HR related safety initiative per annum
• Implement Employee Wellness Programme
• Implement HIV / AIDS Protocol
• Implement effective recruitment and selection systems and processes
• Manage implementation of the Site specific Induction Programme
• Ensure that Rewards practices are aligned to the Rewards strategy
• Manage HR trends as evident from HR Info systems
• Manage audits and surveys
• Ensure that Individual Development Plans are in place and implemented for all employees
• Implement the Training and Development Protocol
• Identify and manage implementation of suitable Community Projects
• Identify and assess Talent Pool at Site level
