SUMMARY:
HR Manager required for the Maitland area in Cape Town.
Responsible for 4 direct reports (HR admin, Payroll Admin & Training/Recruitment & Receptionist)

Human Resource Manager Responsible for the entire HR Management and Directives within the Company

Scope & General Purpose:
Responsible for the Human Resources function in the business.
General duties include but are not limited to recruitment of
executive, management and skilled employees, employee relations, and organizational development.

Duties:
RECRUITMENT, SELECTION AND PLACEMENT:

• Ensure a comprehensive recruitment process is followed and managed where top talent is attracted, identified and maintained in line with BBBEE and EE targets, minimize agency use and hiring time.
• Support hiring managers in timely and effective recruitment from planning to interview, selection and offer of employment stage.
• Oversee and ensure that company recruitment policy and procedures are followed and documented.
• Ensure reference checks have been conducted on possible candidates.
• Ensure communication with unsuccessful candidates
• Prepare offer of employment letters.
• Prepare contracts of employment (Administration and Management).
• Ensure that induction has been followed on all new employees
• Conduct exit interviews and related documentation to determine reasons behind separation.
• Manage contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as temporary employees or recruitment agencies.

• Updating of and issuing employees with Job Descriptions.
• Assist with prioritizing and identifying internal candidates for new recruitment prior to seeking external candidates.
• Designing and managing of employee recognition programme.
• Management of employee wellness and initiatives.

• Conduct skills analysis with line management.
• Establish Career and Succession Planning for Employees with Line Management (Administration and Management).
• Conduct development counselling with employees
• Administer and management of performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within organization.
• Poor work performance management

• Management of and ensuring that employees files are maintained to meet legislative and business requirements.
• Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law in the organization.
• Keeps records of benefit plans such as insurance and retirement annuity plans, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for Company reporting.
• Absenteeism Management
• Provide HR related support to all departments.
• Performs HR related tasks for key HR functions.

• Ensure that the disciplinary process is followed and that it is efficient, firm and fair.
• Assist line managers with carrying out disciplinary, grievance and employee relations processes in accordance with legislation, business requirements and company disciplinary policy and code.
• Manage employee queries, engagement and consultations.
• Advises management on appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
• Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
• CCMA and Bargaining council representation.
• Manage Union queries and relationship.

• Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
• Policy and procedure development and updates.
• Communicate and enforce policies and procedures

• Analyzes salary reports and data to ensure it is in line with the salary structure & Bargaining Council main agreement.
• Advising department managers regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation, and employee benefits.
• Approve and check monthly salaries.
• Extracting and creating reports for reporting purposes.
• Management of Payroll System and development thereof.
• Preparing data for annual salary increases for both salaries and wages

• Ensure adherence to all Labour Relations legislation.
• Identify legal requirements and Department of Labour reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
• Study legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends.
• Develops and maintains a human resources system that meets Senior Management information needs.
• Complete all statutory documents for employees exiting the business (administration and management)
• Ensure that WSP and ATR is submitted annually before the deadline.
• Compile and submit annual Employment Equity Report usually due on 15 January of every year
• Submission of quarterly HR stats

• Matric Certificate
• Diploma/Degree in HR Management
• Registration with HR Professional Body (SABPP)
• At least 5-10 years’ HR Management experience.
• A valid driver’s license
