POSITION INFO:
Our client is looking for an HR Officer who will be the first point of contact within the designated business unit for all HR related transactional and administrative activities such as documenting operational processes and maintaining employee records in line with company policies, procedures and in full compliance with all legislative requirements.
Responsibilities:
(A) Transactional HR
- Maintain the complete employee life cycle – onboarding to exit
- Administration of the recruitment and selection process, including setting up interviews, booking meeting rooms, compiling interview packs, and scanning interview notes.
- Ensure accurate and proper administration of personnel files, employment contracts, promotions, and transfers on the HR system and in line with processes.
- Assist with employee orientation and training
- Salaries and benefits administration
- Administrate and Lead: Workers Committees and Housing Committees
- Employee records and statistics – leave, absenteeism, and productivity
- Uploading of employee data onto the relevant HR systems
(B) Compliance and Governance
- Labour legislation and Compliance audits
- Reporting on Employment Equity Plans and other HR related reports
- Workplace Skills Plans
- Maintenance of statutory committees - DOL
(C) Management Support
- Coordinate the Employee Induction
- Maintaining and advising on company policies and procedures
- Advising, planning, and arranging disciplinary hearings
- Training and development
- Coordinate staff transport and medical center
- Co-ordinate Staff Welfare, Corporate Social Initiatives and Events
- Stakeholder engagement – Local municipality, communities, and Department of Employment & Labour
(D) Performance Management Administration
- Assist in the Administration of an effective performance evaluation system/process
- Assist in the maintenance of the framework for mentoring and coaching

Qualifications:
- A National Diploma / Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field,
- At least 3 years’ HR experience as an administrator/officer,
- Knowledge of recruitment processes and related legislations.
