HSE Manager

SUMMARY:
A well-established business is seeking permanent HSE Manager

POSITION INFO:
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree within OH&S or Environmental Management or equivalent;
• SACPCMP registered Professional Construction Health and Safety agent (Pr. CHSA)
• Extensive technical, practical and leadership experience in HSE, including experience in strategic planning and demonstrable experience in driving industry leadership in HSE performance (minimum of 10 yearsexperience)
• Experience in building strong people relationships, general management practices and experience in managing and leading a team;
• Extensive knowledge and interpretation of HSE Management Systems, procedures and policies including document control;
• Expert on Internal compliance audits and corrective / preventative action Management;
• Expert experience in in Incident management/investigation and Root Cause Analysis;
• Knowledge and experience in implementing risk management principles
• Health, Safety, Environment, Construction
• Proven track record in managing staff and contractors on construction sites
• Risk Management
• Quality Management

• Reviewing, implementing, and administering all aspects of the company HSE Plan as it pertains to South Africa (in-country champion)
• Oversee the compilation and application of written safe work and operating procedures, applicable to construction and operations activities
• Oversee the organization and scheduling of required safety meetings with the company staff, toolbox talks and first aid coverage and 
• conducting regular meetings with Construction and Operations personnel on all levels to update them on HSE matters
• Evaluating compliance, to ensure that the site is in full compliance with all applicable health, safety and environmental regulations and conducting site and office HSE inspections
• Ongoing safety training & reporting and maintaining accident/incident report log
• COVID-19 management
