A leading property development company based in East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join their technical maintenance team on a full-time basis.
This role is ideal for an experienced HVAC Technician, Air Conditioning Technician, or Refrigeration Technician with strong experience in VRV/VRF systems, installations, maintenance, and fault-finding across commercial, retail, and industrial properties.
About the Role
As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and air conditioning systems across a diverse property portfolio.
You will work in a hands-on environment, ensuring all systems operate efficiently while delivering high-quality service, diagnostics, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities:
HVAC Installation & Maintenance (HVAC Jobs South Africa)
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, air conditioning units, and ventilation systems
- Work across commercial, retail, and industrial property environments
- Ensure systems meet performance and efficiency standards
Fault Finding & Diagnostics (Air Conditioning Technician Jobs)- Perform fault finding, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on HVAC equipment
- Identify system issues and implement effective solutions
- Conduct routine service calls and preventative maintenance
Operations & Technical Support- Maintain accurate records of work completed and service reports
- Manage HVAC tools, equipment, and stock
- Order parts and materials for maintenance and installations
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and operational
Compliance & Safety (OHS Jobs South Africa)- Adhere to health, safety, and compliance regulations
- Ensure safe working practices at all times
Client & Team Communication- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Provide excellent customer service and technical support
- Stay up to date with HVAC technology and industry best practices
Minimum Requirements- Grade 12 / High School Diploma
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as an HVAC Technician / Air Conditioning Technician / Refrigeration Technician
- Proven experience with VRV/VRF systems (installation, maintenance, troubleshooting)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Valid driver’s license (advantageous)
Key Skills- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, air conditioning, and ventilation systems
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call when required
