JOB SUMMARY:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hands on approach and involved in the detailed design and review process
Work directly with stakeholders to understand requirements, specifications, standards and project structure and work with the project team to create and develop an implementation strategy
Define and communicate the prioritized roadmap plan including measurable progress and improvements
Develop and maintain engineering best-practices, design guidelines, processes, and checklists for hardware design
Coordinate product RF, EMC, safety and hazardous atmosphere certification and pre-compliance assessments
Design certification strategies that drive product design
Manage product certification
Liaise with product quality assurance
Design hardware test automation

Qualification:
BSc/BEng Electronic Engineering
Msc/MEng Electronic Engineering adv

Skills & Experience:
RF electronics design experience
Experienced at RF and EMC certification
Experience with Altium Designer
Version control - GIT
General product safety certification experience
Intrinsically safe product certification experience

Minimum requirements:
Minimum 2-5 years’ work experience in electronic product design
Mixed signal, analogue, high speed digital and RF circuit design and layout
Electromagnetic compatibility design
Embedded C programming
Sound understanding of laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyses, oscilloscopes, power meter, etc.

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
