JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the agriculture sector seeks to employ a Harvesting Manager for their operations in Uitenhage/Kariega.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

· Manage and plan day-to-day logistics for live bird harvesting operations
· Design, implement and track effective controls and processes to reduce equipment and infrastructure damages
· Reduce any form of losses in biological assets by applying effective management principles to measure and exercise control over a disciplined, compliant and motivated team
· Achieve abattoir harvesting downtime within budget
· Ensure catching practices are enforced and done to reduce stress and actively drive best practices around bird welfare
· Ensure all vehicles under your responsibility are optimally maintained and checked through effective liaison with maintenance workshop
· Drive the focus of direct reports, ensuring the ultimate achievement of goals and objectives and holding individuals accountable for their KPI’s

Requirements:

- Tertiary qualification in agricultural management or related field
- 6 years’ experience in managing an agricultural operation and co-ordinating resources and multiple teams in remote locations
