CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12, a relevant tertiary qualification preferred
- Minimum of 4 years previous senior chef experience
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Good knowledge of planning, budgeting, and departmental administration.
- Need to know how to do menu costing, cost of sales, and minimal wastage.
- Excellent attention to detail, and excellent hygiene principles.
- Knowledgeable of all dietary and religious requirements
- Strong admin and financial acumen
- Excellent HR skills- Control all staff rosters, discipline, and procedures
- Mature, responsible, well-presented individual who can problem solve and is of sober habits
- Great team player who can work well under pressure
- Hands-on, running shifts- setting an example from the front line
- Computer Literate (Word, Excel, etc)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designing the entire menu
- Managing stock and portion control
- Overseeing stock variance and cost control
- Leading the kitchen operations
- Take charge of the BOH side of the business
This is a LIVE-OUT role. Meals are provided during shifts.
