SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Head Chef for a permanent vacancy based in Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape

POSITION INFO:
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Culinary Food preparation qualification / related
5+ years’ experience as a Head Chef in an upmarket restaurant
Fluency required in English and Afrikaans
Strong culinary knowledge and skills
Computer literate on hospitality / POS package such as Pilot
Valid driver’s license and own transport
Health & Hygiene certificate preferred
Able to work in a pressurized environment
Willing to work hospitality hours as required

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Menu development
Leading a large staff complement
Communicating across all departments
Planning of menu for events / conferences and liaising with clients
Stock control and assistance with stock purchasing
Meals to support various dietary requirements
Department roster control
Staff training as required
Ensure meal standards are maintained
Health and hygiene control

Salary: Negotiable
