Head Chef

Key Performance Areas incl.:

• Menu planning with a requirement to update the menu seasonally
• Supervision of the kitchen brigade with a requirement to provide growth for the young chefs reporting to you
• Budget and cost control
• Ordering and stock control, ensuring regular price checks for best quality / price balance
• Kitchen Management for breakfast and lunch service for approximately 450 pax a day
• Function & menu planning

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2-year Diploma or equivalent Chef qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an up-market establishment
• Be fully bilingual and computer literate (Word and Excel) – with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a team-oriented environment
• Customer service with attention to detail
• Developing and maintaining relationships with guests and ensuring they feel welcome and will return as often as possible
• Strong people management & administration skills
• A strong sense and understanding of what constitutes world class service
• Understanding and owning the company brand values

The Restaurant operates seven days a week. You will also be required to work weekends on a shift basis.
