Key Responsibilities:
• Lead game drives and guided bush walks, providing guests with informative, safe, and engaging experiences
• Manage the guiding team, including scheduling, training, and performance reviews
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and reserve regulations
• Oversee vehicle and equipment maintenance in collaboration with the maintenance team
• Conduct regular training and assessments for junior guides and trackers
• Stay up to date on reserve sightings and contribute to guest communication or social media when needed
• Maintain service excellence and support conservation values
Requirements:
• FGASA Level 2 (or higher) with valid Lead Trails Guide qualification preferred
• Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
• Current First Aid Level 1 certification
• DEAT and THETA registered
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Senior/Head Guide in a Big 5 reserve
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills
• Excellent communication and guest relations skills
• Professional, well-groomed, and passionate about the bush
• Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, and public holidays
