Head: Information Security (CISO)

SUMMARY:

Our client, an integrated ICT and infrastructure provider and telecommunications company, is looking to employ an Information Security Head to join them.

POSITION INFO:

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Head: Information Security (CISO) provides vision and leadership for developing and supporting security initiatives.
• He/she is responsible for Information Security Governance, including the development, planning and management of an enterprise-wide information security and risk management strategy across the entire organization.
• He/she heads up the company’s Cyber Security Centre
• This individual is responsible for auditing existing systems, while directing the administration of security policies, activities, and standards.
• He/she is further responsible for proactive planning, trend analysis and reporting as well as communication with management related to risks and trends.
• This position will collaborate with management to continuously improve existing controls and develop effective security and compliance practices in Enterprise Technology.
• Work with Product Management to assess and recommend new security products and services that can be taken to market.

• Working knowledge of Information Security Management.
• Broad ISP platform environment knowledge with a good understanding of key information security technologies and methodologies.
• Experience with common Information Security Management Frameworks, such as International Standards Organization (ISO) 27001, Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to security.
• Working knowledge of ICT policy and procedure development.

• Sc or B.Tech in IT/Computer Science.
• Industry approved Security Certifications (e. Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Information Security Management, Certified Data Privacy Security Engineer, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer)
• Technical Qualifications (e. CCNA Security, Microsoft AZ500 or similar)
• 8 years proven experience in an Information Security role.
• 4 years in a middle management role.
• Proven experience in planning, organizing, and developing IT security system technologies.
• Experience in planning and executing security policies and standards development.
• Excellent understanding of project management principles.
• Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving security problems.
