Our client in the ecotourism industry is looking for a Field Guide Head Instructor to join their team in Hoedspruit area

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• NQF Level 4 qualification
• Valid VPDA (Vehicle Professional Driving Permit)
• FGASA Level 3 certification
• Advanced Trails Guide certification
• Current Advanced Rifle Handling certification (or close to attaining)
• 5 years' related industry experience
• Current NDT registration
• Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
• Active and up-to-date FGASA membership is essential

• Oversee the overall management and running of the camp
• Plan and manage maintenance of camp infrastructure, vehicles, and equipment
• Ensure all firearms and ammunition are safe, maintained, and in good working order
• Liaise with Reserve Management on concession-related matters
• Manage camp staff (cooks, cleaners, and coordinators), ensuring smooth operations
• Mentor students on work placements or volunteer programmes, ensuring their development plans are followed
• Deliver an inspirational and immersive learning experience for all course participants
• Plan and facilitate daily training activities and bush experiences
• Ensure academic requirements are met, including lectures, tests, and assessments
• Manage related administration and reporting accurately and on time
