Head of Academics
Location: Hatfield (with travel to schools nationally)

About the Role
The successful candidate will:

Lead academic strategy across all school phases and subjects.

Design, implement, and enhance curriculum frameworks aligned to national and international standards.

Drive learner performance through evidence-based academic interventions.

Oversee assessment quality, moderation processes, and external benchmarks.

Develop educators through coaching, training, and professional development programmes.

Champion innovation including digital learning, STEM, robotics, and academic enrichment.

Set, monitor, and report on academic KPIs across the group.

Work closely with executive leadership to ensure long-term academic excellence and compliance.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s or Postgraduate in Educational Leadership an advantage).

10+ years’ experience in education, with at least 5 years in academic leadership or senior management.

Proven experience across multi-campus or group-school environments (advantageous).

Strong understanding of curriculum standards, assessment, teacher development, and academic governance.

Demonstrated ability in change management, academic innovation, and quality assurance.
