Head of Billing and Collections

SUMMARY:
Head of Billing and Collections required to manage, optimise and report in depth on all billing and Collection activities that happen within the Group.

POSITION INFO:

• Billing strategy  
  • Design and implement monthly billing strategy across the group.
  • Design and implement of customer risk scorecards across the business.
  • Source new and innovative collection products.
  • Responsible for system integration of the collections department to align with group strategy.
  • Validate all billing transactions on Billing System.
• Billing and collections insights
  • Responsible for performance of the collections department collecting for both internal and external parties.
  • Responsible for the collection''s performance of international campaigns and products.
  • Provide analytics and insights to various business units across the group.
  • Investigate and analyse any billing matters raised by management and Exco.
  • Focus on continually improving and optimising collections.
  • Supply monthly billing packs for group executive team.
  • Provide validations on the age analysis (statuses, balances, arrears).
  • Accountable for month end status reports.
• Relationship management
  • Manage relationships with the banks and other system operators.
  • Manage relationships with external collection agencies.
  • Manage relationships with regulators and compliance stakeholders in international payment space.
• Other
  • Manage compliance and risk channels across all regulators including banks, ombudsman and PASA.

Requirements

• Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Economics, Business Administration, specialising in Finance
• Min 5 years'' experience in data analysis (ideally financial data)
• Advanced computer skills - MS office suite
• Analytical skilled at a high level of numeracy
• Mathematical skills, including calculations and statistics
