SUMMARY:
In working for a well established mining Group, the successful candidate would be required to drive Transformation and Human Resource initiatives, while monitoring compliance in accordance with company strategy and statutory requirements.

POSITION INFO:

Identify and address issues that create barriers to Transformation
Establish Business Unit & Corporate structures and forums to identify and address Transformation issues
Build internal capacity and transfer skills within the organisation
Ensure that the Transformation Function meets principles of sound Corporate Governance
Demonstrate knowledge of the Roles and Responsibilities of Tribal/Traditional Authorities
Demonstrate understanding of the principles of Cultural and Traditional set ups
Ensure compliance of Business Units to Social Labour Plan targets as per the Mining Charter and DTI Score (EE, Women In Mining, etc.)
Monitor, keep up to date and develop guidelines regarding changes in Legislation
Comply with the relevant HR Legislation (Labour Relations Act, Traditional authorities Act, EE Act, Skills Development Act, etc.)
Provide information and advice regarding legislation that may impact community engagement, policies and issues
Compile EE Strategy and ensure continuous alignment to Legislation
Compile monthly, quarterly and annual Transformation Reports
Report bi-annually progress on LED/CSI/ED within our surrounding communities through brochures
Identify and assess level of issue based risk exposures in the area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)
Manage SHEQ compliance within the Department/Section through effective use of the Toolbox
Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to analyse, identify trends, initiate, mitigate, investigate and report SHEQ status
Maintain and improve relationships with key stakeholders
Ensure customer satisfaction
Maintain and improve relationships with key suppliers
Compile monthly, quarterly and annual Transformation Reports
Report bi-annually progress on LED/CSI/ED within our surrounding communities through brochures
