Head of Data & Business Intelligence (Consulting)

SUMMARY:
Your primary role will be to provide data management, governance and BI services to clients. You will build holistic data and information solutions that consider operational aspects and legacy system constraints, while still ensuring adherence to long-term strategic roadmaps

POSITION INFO:

Head: Business Intelligence and Data (Consulting & Financial Services)

A leading Consulting firm requires the skill of a passionate, agile and highly motivated data specialist to lead their BI and Data Analytics function, managing both the data analytics and data science capabilities.

You will be the executive lead for the Business Intelligence and Data division, where your primary role will be to provide data management, governance and BI services to clients. You will build holistic data and information solutions that consider operational aspects and legacy system constraints, while still ensuring adherence to long-term strategic roadmaps

Ultimately,  you will act as a senior-level data leader and lead consultant, to spot and grow opportunities and help clients build world-class data-led solutions.

You will meet the following minimum requirements

• Prior experience (12+ years’) as an Business Intelligence and Data Manager or Data Scientist or similar role in a fast-paced and high-output environment (consulting, banking, start-ups, major technology company)
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Management, Mathematics, or a related field
• Deep knowledge of business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, SAS)
• Excel, R and/or SQL experience highly preferred
• Superb communication, analytical and organisational skills

• Previous experience in Consulting space

Location: Sandton, Johannesburg.
