Responsibilities
In this position as Head of Electrical Engineering, you will oversee all technical aspects of a large EU-sponsored R&D project:

Build technical strategy, based on research and analysis, for power electronic products
Translate high-level strategies into concrete plans, ultimately towards production. Work with others within M+S to execute:
Technical research, direction and planning
New resources (such as software, staff and equipment)
Design for production and certification
Multi-disciplinary engineering and cross-product design
Good communication, particularly internally
Testing, analysis, documenting and reporting
Work with other engineers and with consultants, but remain deeply involved in the engineering and its direction
Optimally select components and suppliers
Lead others to execute builds in prototyping and testing
Support and help drive transfer from prototype to production

What do we expect from you?

MSc Electronic/Electrical Engineering
10 years working experience, within power electronic engineering design
Experience in conducting engineering projects and preferably in Project Management
Strong aptitude for technical writing and communication
Strong knowledge of and experience in:
Power electronic system design, analysis and optimisation
Simulation of power electronic systems (Matlab/Simulink).
Embedded MCU programming
Application development
Firmware development
Experience with CANbus, or similar.
Open to occasional travel
Able to work well in a team, but also independently
Preferably fluent in English and Dutch, both in language and writing
Further relevant qualifications would be an advantage.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM US?

Above-market salary. Experience, skills and qualification dependent
Full-time employment (40 hours per week) based on a 12-month contract, with expected transition to permanent from month 13
