Head of Finance-Hybrid role

This travel & tourism business with a footprint throughout SA & Africa, needs and qualified, experienced leader to join them asap.

The purpose of the role is to provide strategic support and guidance to the Executive team and all Business units. You will be expected to maintain & improve the financial health of the business through delivery of solid financial administration & accounting practises and overall effective business management. You will advise on business solutions to improve the growth potential of the business and will review, develop & implement key business finance projects to improve company performance, productivity and profitability, whilst decreasing costs.

REQUIREMENTS
• CA(SA) (CIMA qualified Hof\''s may be considered)
• 8 years’ experience as an FM/CFO/HoF or equivalent
• Strong supervisory and business management skills
• Exposure to an international multi-currency environment is essential
• Extensive knowledge of IFRS/SA Taxation laws/BCEA/LRA/Corporate governance essential

• Group Financial accounting
• Understanding of Statutory and regulatory country and regional requirements
• International financial management, complying with IFRS & GAAP
• Accounting systems and procedures
• Budgeting, forecasting and management Reporting
• Payroll management (VIP)
• Business analysis and business processes mapping
• Treasury management, multi country and multi-currency
• Forex management
• Audit management
• Understanding of Reserve Bank regulations
• Merchant facility and credit card payment processes management
• Project Management
• Travel industry experience would be highly advantageous
