POSITION INFO:
Our client in the hospitality industry is looking for an experienced Marketing and Brand Specialist to fill a role as the Head of Marketing

Location: Stellenbosch, Western Cape

Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Degree/Diploma in Marketing
  • 8 - 10 years of experience in a similar role
  • 5+ years of experience in a management position
  • Must have a good understanding of, and experience with digital (PPC, SEO, online advertising) and direct marketing
  • Experience in Brand management with an eye for detail
  • Experience managing multiple clients or a multi-department brand is preferable
  • Sound understanding of SEO, SEM, PPC, and other forms of online presence marketing
  • Experience in marketing reporting platforms (Google Analytics, Search Console, etc)
  • Experience in Hospitality and/or Wine industries would be advantageous
Responsibilities:
Strategy and Budget:
  • Plan marketing campaigns, platforms, exhibitions, and events to meet strategic objectives
  • Innovate new ways to market the brand and offering through creative strategies
  • Create media plans and ensure consistent media coverage
  • Plan and implement/oversee marketing campaigns across all channels
  • Manage budget, resources, and planning for the Estate’s marketing department
  • Provide guidance to other department heads based on market research and holistic insights
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize budget, strategies, and performance
Brand Management:
  • Continue to build, grow and execute the Brand Strategy for the company
  • Input ideas for new and existing brand campaigns and take ownership of their development and implementation
  • Create excitement around the brand and help come up with ideas to further build brand equity and development
  • Guide the departments in the implementation of the Brand Strategy and positioning through operational implementation thereof so the teams may bring the brand to life
  • Oversee the creation of marketing, brand, and communications collateral to ensure that it is consistent with the brand including covering all design and content (on and offline)
  • Oversee design agencies and brand support and ensure brand continuity throughout Estate.
Digital Marketing:
  • Plan and execute/oversee all digital marketing including SEO/SEM, website maintenance and optimization, marketing database management, communications, social media, advertising campaigns, and digital support partners
  • Optimize and expand our social media impact, audiences, and engagement
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest digital trends and best practices in online marketing and reports
  • Provide pre-agreed reports during/post campaigns to monitor channel effectiveness and ROI
  • Analyze and report trends over time and use these insights to build more effective campaigns
  • Provide recommendations on how to use marketing analytics and user data to drive marketing and sales results;
  • Identity new platforms and opportunities to expand our presence and maximize our marketing efficacy through the digital space
  • Identify target media, associations, industry partners, and social media influencers and determine how they fit within the integrated campaign(s)
Relationship Management
  • Establish, grow and manage relationships with strategically important partners and suppliers
  • Engage with key internal stakeholders regarding new and creative growth strategies with various departments from start to finish to ensure collaborative investment in the strategy or campaign, that expectations are managed across the board, and that deadlines are met
  • Ensure clear communication from the marketing department with internal and external teams
  • Lead and manage the marketing department
