JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Duties and Responsibilities

• To design and build regulatory risk programmes that covers all related legislation across FNB by defining frameworks, standards and policies
• Control expenditure planning and reporting in area of responsibility, within approved budget parameters
• Increase operational efficiency and suggest solutions to enhance cost effectiveness
• Maintain and build relationships for purposes of expectation management, knowledge sharing and integration
• Translate strategies into actionable goals and execute relevant projects /initiatives aligned to strategic with specific performance measures and control systems to track progress
• Plan for handling work outputs, pull together interdependent activities and specify priorities, standards and procedures to ensure tactical excellence
• Maintain expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and internal compliance procedures and requirements
• Ensure compliance is adopted in terms of systems procedures
• Design and implement a control framework to ensure the integrity of operations and practices.
• Anticipate and apply and policies/procedures to manage and control both financial and non-financial risks to which the function(s), business unit(s) or region might be exposed.
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements Investigate and implement measures to correct audit findings
• Ensure timeous, clear contracting and assessment of performance expectations in line with identified objectives and enable a learning and growth culture.
• Build management team succession plans for critical roles in own area and influence strategic resource planning of partners

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• Bcom
• CA(SA) /auditing/Compliance background

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• 8/10 Years’ Experience in Legal, Risk and Compliance
• Financial sector experience in large organisation (insurance or banking)
• Good understanding of market conduct and Compliance
• Charismatic leader (able to navigate matrix structures and manage senior stakeholders)
