POSITION INFO:

Role Function
As the Head of Rewards & Organisational Effectiveness you will provide strategic design, development, execution and monitor all solutions and services of the organisation.
Your role aims to ensure that organisational designs, structures and roles are efficient and aligned with the organisational capability requirements, incorporated with equitable and competitive reward structures that improve organisational outcomes and employee effectiveness and engagement with their work, their team and the organisation.
This will include competitively incentivising employees and ensuring that reward structures are equitable, competitive and aligned with the organisation’s overall goals.
Your success is achieved by overseeing the design, development, execution and monitoring of Reward and Organisational Effectiveness related solutions and services for the company combined with the accountability of driving Remuneration Committee deliverable and Job Design Committees and ensuring effective integration with other HR practices and goals.


Duties
 Leading development of the Group Reward and Effectiveness Strategy, policies and procedures.
 Overseeing implementation of the Group Reward and Effectiveness Strategy against agreed timeframes, budget and report against performance measures.
 Designing, developing, executing on and monitoring of Reward related solutions for the organisation.
 Designing, implementing and managing elements of executive compensation and leading the creation of incentive plans.
 Managing, implementing and maintaining the Job Design Framework for the company.
 Ensuring the establishment and implementation of organisational design frameworks and providing strategic support for organisational design related services to the Divisions.
 Overseeing the development of implementation plans for new reward, job design and/or organisational design structure related components, with required stakeholders.
 Ensuring the establishment of job profiling methodology, practices and standards and supporting job profiling including competency practice development and integration per the Job Design Framework.
 Together with the Head of Talent & Learning Solutions, developing and maintaining the Workforce Strategy and plan for the company.
 Actively driving Reward and OE practice integration within HR and the broader organisation.
 Ensuring OE oversight and approval of profiling and Job Evaluation alignment.
 Overseeing the delivery of Remuneration Committee deliverables in alignment with their requirements.
 Developing metrics to measure realisation of Reward and Effectiveness results.
 Providing expert advice and business insight to improve Reward and Effectiveness service delivery.
 Developing and leading yourself and the Group Reward and Effectiveness team to deliver Group HR Enablement solutions and services to the business.
 Driving enablement of an innovative, agile and employee centric culture where employees are supported, empowered and valued within Group Reward and Effectiveness (ensuring employee wellness and transparent communications)
 Managing Financial, Reporting and BI functions for Group Reward and Effectiveness team.
 Developing a budget for Group Reward and Effectiveness.
 Approving Group Reward and Effectiveness expenditure as defined in the delegation of authority ensuring effective cost controls and monitoring mechanisms.
 Managing Group Reward and Effectiveness costs whilst balancing the need for optimal service delivery to the business.
 Driving the collection of Group Reward and Effectiveness data and business intelligence.
 Ensuring that the Group Reward & Effectiveness complies with relevant labour relations frameworks and
legislation.
 Ensuring compliance to organisational and legislative governance frameworks and standards.
 Implementing Group Reward & Effectiveness governance, structures, policies, processes, procedures and frameworks.
 Overseeing identification and mitigation of key risks related to Reward & Effectiveness.
 Ensuring Group Reward and Effectiveness Solutions and Services are appropriately structured and resourced to deliver on its mandate with the right people in the right roles with the right capabilities at the right time.
 Ensuring Reward and OE integration and effective flow of work with other HR frameworks/ practices and business.
 Ensuring continuous improvement across the Reward and Effectiveness value chain.
 Overseeing identification and implementation of relevant Group Reward & Effectiveness Solutions and Services technology requirements to enable a seamless employee experience.

Minimum Requirements:
 Completed Degree & Postgraduate Degree in HR, OD, Finance
 Global Remuneration Professional Certification & South African Reward Association Accredited
 8+ years in a Group Reward/ Effectiveness/ OD role, leading Group Reward and Effectiveness strategy development including trending best practices, delivery, frameworks, policies, procedures and guidelines ensuring all legal implications, transformation and diversity are adhered to for a large organisation
 A solid history leading Group Reward, Effectiveness or OD solutions - demonstrating knowledge of trending Group Reward, Effectiveness or OD best practices within a large, national or international organisation (preference to Retail/ FMCG/ Call Centre, where there is demonstrable knowledge of HR practices, HR policies, procedures, legislation and regulations.
 Experience running Remuneration and Job Design Committees
 Exposure to statutory requirements, applying and monitoring relevant laws, regulations and best practices as they relate to Group Reward and Effectiveness.
 B-BBEE knowledge and practical implementation strategies to deliver a transformed, diverse and inclusive environment.
 A sound understanding of diversity and inclusion concepts and processes and the link between employment equity and good HR practices. Exposure to how employment equity impacts B-BBBEE levels.
