JOB SUMMARY:
A new and exciting opportunity exists for a Head of UK to join our team in the UK.
The main purpose of this role is to manage the overall Company UK business and identify ways to expand and enhance it.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Head of UK reports directly to the Group Executive Head: Strategy & Business Development. This position is responsible for managing the overall functioning of the entire UK business and identifying opportunities for expanding and developing the business. The position is also responsible for overseeing the operations, sales, marketing, technical/product, human resources as well as reporting functions.

Duties and Responsibilities (Include but is not limited to):
  • Make strategic decisions to improve the overall efficiency of the UK business
  • Identify ways to increase overall revenue and decrease expenditure without compromising on customer service
  • Develop operational budgets and manage expenses against budgets
  • Ensure valid and current licenses are in place and maintained, and assist with license expanse if necessary
  • Identify process inefficiencies and make the necessary amendments or improvements to increase effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the relevant stakeholders to develop systems and controls for business
  • Develop and maintain Operational SOPs and carry out audits to ensure all regulatory requirements are in place
  • Analyse P&L and streamline operations based on P&L
  • Actively build effective relationships with strategic partners
  • Identify key players within the sectors of business, build and sustain beneficial relationships
  • Develop and implement the expansion strategy for the UK
  • Create new business/revenue avenues
  • Identify ways to grow the customer base
  • Seek out additional sources and ways of expanding the remittance portion of the business
  • Carry out business development activities and research viable options for further expansion
  • Keep abreast of all product developments within the UK
  • Create financial modelling for the UK operations
  • Oversee the sales activities
  • Oversee the community engagements, attending events where necessary
  • Oversee all digital, performance, and above the line marketing activities
  • Assist with the development of various sales and marketing strategies
  • Provide all required reporting for statutory and regulatory boards timeously and accurately
  • Carry out analysis on operations, revenue, and costs
  • Carry out and present analysis of sales and marketing analytics
  • Develop and present reports on operations to internal and external stakeholders when required
  • Identify system problems and thoroughly investigate for solutions
  • Liaise with the Business Analysts and Engineering team to spec enhancements
  • Prioritize enhancements
  • Oversee the testing, troubleshooting and resolution of the service
  • Create and oversee rollout plans and oversee implementation
  • Provide integral input into App and Website development for UK market
  • Ensure accurate organizational structures are in place for the UK operation
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and onboarding
  • Ensure job descriptions are in place for all staff
  • Ensure employees have sufficient and up-to-date information
  • Approve leave requests for staff
  • Identify and implement ways to retain staff
  • Oversee the development of training materials
  • Ensure staff training and refresher training is carried out as and when required
  • Ensure staff are complaint with regulatory requirements
  • Set deliverables for staff & contractors
  • Monitor team members performance and targets
  • Coach and mentor staff when required
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma
  • Minimum 5 years Management experience
  • Fintech and/or Financial Services experience
  • Managing external service providers (marketing etc.)
  • Growing market share and expansions
  • Working with tech teams
  • Managing sales and marketing teams
