POSITION INFO:

Role Function
 As the Head of Talent & Learning Solutions you will provide strategic alignment & execute support for the delivery of Talent and Learning Solutions, whilst ensuring that the transformation agenda for a large organisation is adhered to.
 You will provide functional practice leadership to support the execution of the HR Strategy and the associated ambitious HR transformation agenda.
 Your success will be by ensuring that the organisation has the right skills and capabilities in the business, at the right time, in the right place, and is able to align and deliver both the business goals and a talent and learning orientated employee value proposition.
 This role partners with Senior Leadership and HR Partners as it takes a long-term view on the future workforce and capability development as co-designed and delivered through the HR Talent and Learning frameworks developed by the Head of Group L&D and the Head of Group Talent Solutions. This role develops various people strategies in collaboration with other HR functions to maximise HR practice integration with the aim of leveraging the employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.


Duties
 Driving development of the Group Talent & Learning Solutions Strategy for the company in collaboration with the entire organisation from executives through to service delivery teams and partners in order to deliver on the proposed employee value proposition and experience.
 Overseeing the development and implementation of the company’s integrated talent and learning management processes.
 In conjunction with the Reward and OE Group Head, driving the implementation of the Strategic Workforce Plan for the Group by providing appropriate solutions to build a pipeline of key talent - succession and critical skills capability pools.
 Driving the development and implementation of the Talent Management Framework which informs the sourcing, development and management of talent within company.
 Ensuring the design, development, provision, execution and monitoring of Talent & Learning related solutions and services for the company.
 Overseeing the development of the Talent & Learning Solutions strategies, methodologies, frameworks, tools and processes that are compliant to the relevant organisational and legislative policies and/or frameworks.
 Overseeing the development and delivery of strategic leadership development programmes for all leaders.
 Working alongside the Head of Talent Solutions, overseeing the Group Assessment Framework and the relevant competency management components related to effective assessment practice.
 Working alongside the Head of Talent Solutions, overseeing the Group Talent Acquisition Framework and the relevant recruitment components related to effective recruitment practice.
 Overseeing the Graduate and Intern Recruitment Programmes for the organisation to build a pipeline of skills and support company CSI initiatives.
 Overseeing the Group of company’s Graduate Recruitment and Educational Scheme, comprising of Bursaries, Loans and Interest Free Loans by ensuring optimal spend of the Educational Trust Budgeting the medium to long term talent needs of the company.
 Facilitating the administration related to the Employment Equity and Skills Development Plans of the Group.
 Developing and leading yourself and the Group Talent & Learning Solutions team to deliver Talent & Learning solutions and services to the business.
 Driving career management and succession planning for the organisation.
 Driving enablement of an innovative, agile and employee centric culture where employees are supported, empowered and valued within the Group Talent & Learning Solutions team (including employee wellness and transparency of open communications)
 Managing Financial, Reporting and BI functions for Group Talent and Learning Solutions
 Accountable for Group Talent & Learning Solutions budgets.
 Approval of Group Talent & Learning Solutions expenditure as defined in the delegation of authority ensuring effective cost controls and monitoring mechanisms.
 Maintaining Group Talent & Learning Solutions cost management while balancing the need for optimal service delivery to employees and operations.
 Driving the collection and use of people data and business intelligence to transform the delivery of Group Talent & Learning Solutions and to help guide organisational decisions and priorities.
 Ensuring that the Group Talent & Learning Solutions team complies with relevant labour relations frameworks and legislation.
 Ensuring compliance to organisational and legislative governance frameworks and standards.
 Implementing Group Talent & Learning Solutions governance, structures, policies, processes, procedures and frameworks.
 Overseeing identification and mitigation of key Group Talent & Learning Solutions strategic risks.
 Monitoring, analysing and communicating relevant external Talent & Learning market trends to ensure that the company remains contemporary in talent and L&D practices, evolving internally as appropriate with technology enablement.
 Overseeing the implementation of sustainable Group Talent & Learning Solutions initiatives within the company.
 Ensuring that the Group Talent & Learning Solutions team is appropriately structured and resourced to deliver on its mandate with the right people in the right roles with the right capabilities at the right time.
 Overseeing the identification of relevant Group Talent & Learning Solutions technology requirements to enable a seamless employee experience.

Minimum Requirements:
 Completed Degree & Postgraduate Degree in HR, OD, Industrial Psychology
 8+ years in a Group Head of Talent or Group Learning & Development role leading Group Talent or L&D strategy including trending Talent and L&D best practices and the integration of talent, learning and development, delivery, frameworks, policies, procedures and guidelines, ensuring legal implications and transformation and diversity are adhered to.
 A solid history leading talent or learning solution initiatives (or both) within a large, national or international organisation (preference to Retail/ FMCG/ Call Centre, where there is demonstrable knowledge of HR practices, HR policies, procedures, legislation and regulations.
 Exposure to statutory requirements, applying and monitoring relevant laws, regulations and best practices as they relate to Group Talent & Learning Solutions.
 B-BBEE knowledge and practical implementation strategies to deliver a transformed, diverse and inclusive environment
