NOW RECRUITING - HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER at Fancourt, in George (Western Cape)

POSITION INFO:

We are currently inviting applications for the role of Health & Safety Officer.  

The successful candidate will be responsible to coordinate, support and advise the business on all aspects with regards to Health and Safety in order to ensure the company meets its health and safety obligations. This incumbent will therefore be accountable for establishing, managing and monitoring of standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Health and Safety are adhered to.

Key qualifications required: SAMTRAC courses or equivalent, HIRA, Incident Investigation, thorough knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations. (Additional qualifications e.g. first aid, other SHE courses, construction regulations, project management, etc. will be advantageous.)

Key skills / competencies / abilities: effective communication skills, diligence, strong administrative capacity, integrity, reliability, can complete work with limited supervision, innovative, problem-solving, critical thinking, sound judgement and decision-making, leadership, self- and stress-control.

Experience and knowledge: at least 3 years in a similar role, strong technical and mechanical knowledge and experience, fluent in English (verbal and written).
