Health and Safety Officer

SUMMARY:

• Diploma (Chemical Engineering) and SAMTRAC essential.
• Minimum 4+ years post-graduation experience in a manufacturing environment essential.
• Health and Safety experience
• Minimum of 1-2+ years experience
• Must reside in KZN or willing to relocate at your own cost
• Valid drivers licence

POSITION INFO:
Responsible for :

• Record keeping and monitoring of Health & Safety site inspections. E.g. pressure testing, fire equipment inspections, First aid boxes
• Facilitate the annual Task Based Risk Assessment
• Assist with incident investigations and also the training of SHE reps accordingly.
• Manage the Health & Safety Management System (inspections / procedures / training etc.)
• Monitor and arrange site training needs as well as appointing staff in their duties related to the OHSA requirements.
