JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client, a national construction company, specialising in medium to large-scale projects, seeks to employ an experienced and qualified, SACPCMP registered Health and Safety Officer, with experience in the Electromechanical industry, for their operation in Cape Town where you will be reporting to the Health and Safety Manager.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY:

You will have completed a relevant tertiary qualification ideally with SAMTRAC or related, as well as be registered as a Safety Officer with SACPCMP, and have a minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Safety Officer.
You must have previous experience in Construction with a strong emphasis on MEP, coupled with knowledge on electro-mechanical installations, safety and risk management, and thoroughly investigating accidents and incidents.
You must have knowledge and experience with reporting, Workmen’s Compensation, relevant legislations, and understand the admin revolving around those key areas – MS Office experience is also essential.
You must be able to decide and initiate action and be highly motivated, with the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
You must be a detail-oriented and organized team player with demonstrated delivery in high-pressure situations.
You must have a driver’s license, a clear criminal and credit record, and reliable transport.
