The Role: Healthcare Recruiter
This role focuses on managing and growing a portfolio of UK healthcare clients within the temporary doctor staffing market. You will take ownership of both account management and candidate delivery, ensuring consistent fulfilment of bookings while maintaining strong service standards.
You will work closely with doctors and healthcare clients, managing placements, compliance processes, and ongoing relationship management. The role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple bookings simultaneously, and understands the urgency of temporary healthcare staffing.
Key Responsibilities
- 2+ years of experience placing doctors into temporary or locum roles within the UK healthcare market
- Manage and grow existing client accounts across the UK healthcare sector
- Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors and healthcare clients
- Source, screen, and place doctors into temporary assignments
- Coordinate doctor availability, compliance, bookings, and placement processes
- Ensure bookings are fulfilled efficiently and to a high standard
- Identify opportunities to improve fill rates and grow existing accounts
- Expand business opportunities within current client portfolios and departments
- Monitor market trends, pay rates, doctor availability, and competitor activity
- Maintain accurate communication and high service levels across all placements
About You
- 2+ years of experience placing doctors within the UK locum or medical staffing market
- Proven experience working UK working hours
- Strong understanding of temporary healthcare recruitment and doctor placements
- Experience managing multiple bookings and fast-moving recruitment processes
- Commercially aware with strong account management skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Able to work independently in a remote environment
