SUMMARY:
A vacancy for a Hospital General Manager is available with a medium sized private hospital situated in Johannesburg.

POSITION INFO:

Accountable for the leadership of the business unit and site EXCO, to ensure the sustainable performance of the site, alignment to the healthcare group''''s values and fostering a culture of inclusivity and empowerment.

The key responsibilities:

Strategic direction
New business development
Building stakeholder relationships
Environmental scanning
Financial management
Business plan development
Transformation and people management
Management of Marketing & Branding strategy

Education:

Relevant 3 year Bachelor’s Degree equivalent to NQF Level 7

Post graduate degree or related NQF Level 8 will be advantage

Work Experience and Knowledge:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Senior Management role, within hospital/healthcare environment

Ability to grow market share and meet business targets

Ability to present business proposals to senior executives and stakeholders

Strong and persuasive negotiating skills

Sound financial knowledge is essential

Understanding of financial and business management principles

Good knowledge of the healthcare industry

Understanding of government and private partnerships is essential
